How does the out-of-pocket maximum work with the BCBS PPO plan?
• The out-of-pocket maximum is the most you would need to pay out of your own pocket before the plan begins paying 100%. The out-of-pocket maximum for the BCBS PPO plan is $2,500 for single coverage and $5,000 for two-party or family coverage. With the exception of prescription drugs, every dollar you spend on co-pays and coinsurance up to the usual and customary level (for out-of-network services) counts towards your out-of-pocket maximum. The co-pays you pay for prescription drugs do not count toward this maximum.
