How does the Orthodox church celebrate Shrove Tuesday?

Peace be with you, In the Coptic Orthodox Church, Lent begins on a Monday as it is 55 days long so we have no such Tuesday sorry. Regarding the length of the fast, there are 7 days for the fast of Holoferns, 40 days for the regular Lent, 7 days prior to the Lord’s Passion plus Bright Saturday which is the only Sabbath Orthodox Christians are permitted to fast on. Can’t speak for other jurisdictions sorry however believe the Greeks have something called “Meat Faire” and another for cheese but you would have to ask them sorry.
