How does the One Trip Plow compare with other breaking plows?
The One Trip Plow severs the root, totally taking away its energy. The plant is dead and will NOT stand back up. The OTP enters the ground at an angle, breaks 18 across the entire bed, and 1-4 below the existing middle. For example, if you are plowing 4 below the middle on a 5 bed, you are now plowing 9 deep, 18 across, a result of 171 square inches of totally plowed, mulched, aerated soil. Other plows that run at a depth of 14, have a plowing width of 3. This expands vertically in dry conditions to 15 at the surface as it lifts the soil. This would be an average of a 7 width at 14 depth resulting in 112 square inches of plowed ground. Therefore, The One Trip Plow actually breaks more land and breaks it properly. Also with the root wad gone, the One Trip Plow saves wear and tear on planters and gets a better plant population because of a better seed bed surface.
