How does the OfficeReady setup deal with stand-alone versions of Word, Excel or PowerPoint?

A. The OfficeReady setup checks for stand-alone versions of Word, Excel or PowerPoint. In such cases, the setup informs the user that the application was not fully installed and the OfficeReady Add-in (and Templates) will not be installed for that application. For example, if you have Microsoft PowerPoint (the stand-alone version) installed on your machine but have Word and Excel installed as part of Office 97 or 2000, the OfficeReady Add-in and Templates will not be installed for PowerPoint. The installation program will advise you accordingly during installation.
