The University has separate rates for on and off-campus research, experiment station research, public service, extension, and on and off-campus instructional activities. The rate used depends on the nature of the sponsored project and sponsor limits. Your Research Administrator will ask you to describe the purpose of the project you are proposing to determine which rate applies and use sponsor guidelines to see if that rate is allowable. Current rates are located here.
