Halloween Parade 2009: NYC “The best event in the world” for the 31st October is back on 6th avenue this year for the New York City Village Halloween Parade, as it celebrates its 36th anniversary. Over 50,000 costumed participants take to the streets with approx. 2 million spectators. This year’s theme for the celebration is ‘Terra Incognita’, which means ‘part’s unknown’ or area that has not been discovered yet.
