How does the NSW Wetland Recovery Program link with the NSW State Plan?
The NSW State Plan recognises that biodiversity and a well-functioning environment are important factors that affect our quality of life. The implementation of the variety of projects in the NSW Wetland Recovery Plan will assist in achieving key priorities in the NSW State Plan which focus on providing better environmental outcomes for native vegetation, biodiversity, land, rivers and coastal waterways. The NSW Government has committed to develop plans similar to the Environmental Management Plans under the Wetland Recovery Program, for the state’s other significant wetlands by December 2008 (State Plan Priority E4).
