How does the North American Renewables Registry verify renewable energy generation?
Every generator has to provide documentation substantiating the generation of renewable energy. The documentation requirements include metering records, official filings with the Energy Information Administration as well as independent reporting from qualified third parties. No certificates are issued until such documentation has been presented to the Registry administrator.
