In the ISML 2009 Nomination Phase, each voter assigns one of eight fixed point values (10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) to any character of his or her choice. The characters nominated will undergo background check for eligibility. The 48 nominees with the highest point totals will proceed to the Preliminaries Phase.
