How does the NJDOT SP program differ from traditional leadership development initiatives offered in many organizations?
This program is highly individualized and does not emphasize traditional classroom-type activities. The assessment portions of the program help to ensure the continuous development of participants skills based on both subjective (360) and objective (MAP) feedback. In addition, the Manager and staff of the Bureau of SP are committed to the development of members of the pool, who represent only 1.5 percent of the total NJDOT population. As a result, offers and activities are completely tailored to the educational and training needs of the members of NJDOTs SP Leadership Pool.
