How does the new validation system work for a department?
Tokens, stamps, and other less official methods such as handwritten authorizations are no longer accepted at any Emory parking facility. Parking Services has validation tickets available for departments that choose to subsidize their visitors’ parking. Departments can request a validation account by submitting a Validation Request Form to Parking Services. These tickets are encoded with the requesting department account information and can be distributed by that department to visitors as needed per that department’s internal policy regarding visitor parking. A department can determine if they wish to offer a full validation for their visitors’ parking or a partial validation. The validation ticket can be programmed according to the department’s guidelines and operational needs.
