How does the new system affect employee titles?
Employees may keep their current working titles. However, all jobs will be assigned to an appropriate category to enable the Office of Human Resources to better match our titles to those in market salary surveys. Matching Penn State titles to those used in surveys helps clarify our position in relation to the market. This official change in job category will have no impact on an employee’s responsibilities.
