The Battery Charger for the L-Series was redesigned to accommodate not only the new, higher capacity Extended Battery and Standard Battery for the LE-series but also the Standard Battery for the LS-Series. The previous version only supported one type of battery. In addition, the newest Battery Charger charges both Lithium Ion (Standard Battery) and Lithium-polymer (Extended Battery) batteries.
