How does the MyJotter system work?
MyJotter uses skilled human transcribers – not automatic speech recognition technology. Extensive tests have shown that only human operators are sufficiently capable of recognising the correct words in continuous speech, because they are able to understand the content and context of the sentence in which they are spoken. When you dictate a MyJotter voice-to-text message into your phone, the message is recorded and automatically forwarded over the Internet to one of our operators. The message is transcribed into typewritten form and the text version is forwarded to your chosen destination. The transaction is secure and anonymous. The operator doesn’t know who you are and, likewise, you don’t have any contact with him or her. Similarly, details of your contacts (email addresses and mobile numbers) are not shown – only the names that you have chosen for them.
