How does the My WishList clock work?
When you load My WishList, the site synchronizes with our master clock. This master clock is synchronized with the U.S. government time server at the National Institute of Standards and Technology at nist.gov. All products are released based on this master clock. Please note the internet makes it virtually impossible to keep perfect time. This means that there may be a slight gap (approximately 3 seconds) between the clock displayed on your computer and the clock we are using to release products. The American Express determination on the order of respondents is final. Opening multiple browser windows will probably cause your flash movie to run slowly — which in turn will cause the clock to run slowly. For best results, open one instance of My WishList in one browser window.
