How does the MTG Media Database designate a principal contact?
The MTG Media Database designates a principal buyer at each company. The principal contact is designated as 1 in the field named Main or Additional Contact., and is the person deemed most likely to make the decisions related to the purchasing the rights to the sellers product The principal buyer, sales contact and/or production contacts at each company are identified in the Main Or Additional Contact field. Several factors determine whom is designated as the principal buyer, among them are the persons rank within the company and the frequency of market attendance. In small and companies, the President or Managing Director usually makes the decisions about what to buy, sell or produce. But, in larger companies, the head buyer, head of sales or head of production is usually the key contact. The rank of the buyers is regularly analyzed, and changes are common.
