How does the Mexican Medical Care function / which are the costs?
There are a great number of private clinics in Mexico and the medicals are highly qualified. The fees do vary, but it will usually cost like 20$-70$ for a doctor’s examination depending on the situation. To consult a specialist doctor about 70$ and a gynaecologist examination about 40$. There is a national medical care system called IMSS open to foreigners. The cost is about 290$ per year. IMSS is to recommend, but also to have a private doctor. This private doctor will recommend which IMSS hospital or which IMSS clinic to turn to if there is a need.
