How does the MetLife® Voluntary PDP work?
With the MetLife Voluntary PDP, you receive a wide range of benefits whether or not you and/or each eligible dependent visit a participating dentist. But, when you visit a participating dentist, you have the opportunity to lower out-of-pocket expenses. The MetLife PDP is a Preferred Provider Organization, wherein you always have the freedom to select the provider of your choice at the time of treatment whether or not he or she participates in the PDP. What is a participating dentist? It is a general dentist or specialist who meets MetLifes strict credentialing standards and accepts negotiated fees as payment-in-full for services rendered. There are more than 75,000 PDP participating dentists nationwide, including 8,000 specialists.
