The MS 2000 supports international regulatory requirements for lawful intercept as well as regulatory requirements under the United States Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA). Bearer channel tandeming (routing call content through the MS 2000) allows replication of call content as required for delivery to the appropriate Law Enforcement Agency. Provisioning for lawful intercept is stored in the CS 2000, CS 2000—Compact or Packet MSC.
