How does the MBX Vinyl Zapper work?
The air-cushion and lamella design makes it possible to achieve a rotational speed of 3,500 rpm, which results in the system’s high performance levels. During rotation, centrifugal force creates an air-cushion that offers decisive advantages: Vibrations are absorbed, which promotes smooth running (compare a solid rubber tire to an air-filled tire) The work area of the MBX Vinyl Zapper is significantly increased with the application of pressure, which also boosts performance (much like a car tire that is filled with only a small amount of air) A common problem with MBX Vinyl Zappers is their tendency to drift to the right when attached to a drill. The special angled design of the MBX Pneumatic unit eliminates this problem completely. During rotation, the lamella design decreases the size of the work area and reduces heat in the desired amount. For this reason, the MBX Vinyl Zapper produces no smearing or paint burn-in if used properly.
