How does the MBA differ from the Master of Science in Management?
The MBA is a 51-credit program (17 classes). It consists of 12 core management courses, a practicum, and 4 electives, which can be organized into a concentration. The MBA equips graduates with the skills necessary to assume leadership positions in their organizations. The M.S. is a 30-credit program (10 classes). It consists of 4 core management courses and 6 electives that must be organized into a concentration. The M.S. is a more specialized program; the majority of the coursework focuses on the area of specialization.
