How does the mandatory revision work?
Everyone has to revise!!! The revisions grade is based on amount AND quality of revisions. If no (or only minimal) revisions are made, then you will not receive any credit. I expect you to re-work and re-think your “original-final” draft; in other words, you are expected to revise (or “correct”) more than just what I mark. Even if you did very well on version #1 , you are still expected to make MANY, substantive revisions. To these ends, your revisions will be on a more stylistic and/or mechanical level. Work on making your writing more sophisticated and mature (finesse, word choice, and so on). One’s writing can always be better, so take these revisions very seriously.
