How does the Loan Repayment Program (LRP) work?
This incentive is designed to pay back a qualifying recruit federal loans up to a $65,000 (less tax) cap. The recruit is responsible for filling out all the paperwork and submitting it to Navy Recruiting Command, Millington TN. Most just fax the forms into 901-874-9327. Once accepted into the program, the member must wait a year after coming onto active duty to begin getting payments. Payments are spread out over three years. The recruit must submit a Form DD 2475 annually before their anniversary date.
