Spiralock tool life is generally better than standard tool life for several reasons: 1. The thread cutting profile has more body than the standard thread cutting profile which results in improved tool life. 2. Because Spiralock generally uses a larger tap drill size than a standard tool, less material is removed per hole, again resulting in improved tool life.
