How does the lawn look after using the reel mower?
For me this is the bottom line. Ultimately, the reason that I mow, fertilize, and water the lawn is to make it look appealing. I can honestly say that the cut after using a reel mower is flawless. This is assuming you are cutting a lawn that is not completely overgrown to the point that it is outside the ability of the mower to cut. The only complaint I have about the finished job, is that trimming of the edges required. Since the wheels are placed to the outside of the mower, the reel cannot get alas near to a fence or post as a power rotary mower. I don’t mind getting out the clippers or string trimmer to complete the job, but there is a little more to do with this mower than there was with the rotary. It should be noted that this is not a greens mower. It will not cut short enough give the golf course green appearance. It will, however, rival a bent grass fairway.
