How does the Kemetic faith compare to other faiths/religions?
This is a huge question but I’ll try to boil it down… When comparing religions/faiths from around there world there are more similarities than differences. Most religions/faiths encourage you to be a good person, to be honest, be respectful, honor the faith/religion and even the afterlife has many similarities. There are of course many differences: one god or many gods, daily rituals are different, passages of life are different, the afterlife is different, offerings, the path to the afterlife, clothing, prayers and a plethora of other differences. In my opinion, there is one big difference… The Kemetic faith is a faith of action. When you read the Negative Confessions and the Virtues you will notice that Kemetics cannot simply ask for forgiveness or ask for intervention, Kemetics must actively pursue their faith. Kemetics look to their hearts and minds for guidance. If the heart is weighed down with depression, guilt, shame, hatred, fear or chaos, WE must take action as well as ask fo
