How does the Juvenile Restorative Justice Partnership work?
The Juvenile Restorative Justice program also requires the youth or parent to call in to indicate interest in participating in the program. An intake meeting is scheduled for the youth and parent/guardian with the program coordinator and also includes an assessment of needs of the youth and family. Depending on the youth’s offense, a restorative justice intervention is scheduled (a circle workshop, a victim-offender meeting, or mediation) including establishing an individualized contract agreement. Additionally, if a youth (and family) is referred for additional support services, follow through with any recommendations may be a requirement of program completion. If you would like more information or have been referred to one of our RJ programs, please contact EFR Community Services.
