How does the JCSA system work?
The JCSA’s water system includes the central water system with 29 well facilities and nine independent water systems with eight well facilities. There are approximately 282 miles of water transmission and distribution lines throughout the entire system. The water system facilities supply approximately 4.4 million gallons of water per day to 14,735 water customers. Many county residents have independent wells on their propery that also draw from the Chickahominy-Piney Point aquifer.
