How does the ISM workflow support fabrication of steel? For example, can the steel detailer work on and exchange models with the engineer during the design phase?
Yes. ISM can facilitate bringing the fabricator on board much earlier in the process, which should also benefit the owner-operator. Rather than exchanging static neutral files or rebuilding the model from printed documents, the fabricator can import the model from the ISM repository and track revisions and compare differences between versions through the interface.
