How does the ISI Gift/ Stored Value card work?

0

A customer enters the reseller/agents establishment and asks to purchase an ISI gift / stored value card. The reseller/agent takes the customers information including the recipient information (who the card is intended for) and enters all the information on the ISI card purchase system. The customer pays for the card in dollars (ISI transacts the correct foreign currency exchange) and within 24 hours the recipient may visit the nearest “host” merchant location in their country. After they have introduced themselves and upon verification of proper ID the customer service representative pulls a card from inventory and activates it with the (local currency) amount desired by swiping the card through the merchants POS terminal. The card is now ready to be used at any participating merchants or affiliated store locations.
