A. The IntraLase laser painlessly creates a million tiny bubbles at a specific depth in your cornea over about 50 seconds. These bubbles gently separate the tissue creating a near perfect flap of the same size and shape every time. If there is a problem during the procedure, the surgeon can simply start over and create a new bubble layer after waiting a few minutes.
