How does the Indian Chapter of CWEF decide who is eligible for help?

0

CWEF chooses schools in India. Once a school is chosen, all of the needy children in that school are offered financial help to continue their education. The Assistance to Widows Committee (ATWC) of CWEF receives recommendations for which schools are to be offered help. These recommendations come from donors of CWEF. If the funds are available to take on a school, the principal of the school is contacted to become a volunteer for CWEF. CWEF requests the principal of the school to collect the application form filled by widowed mothers for financial assistance to help in education of their children in school. The principal then certifies the information provided on the application forms and sends it to CWEF. Assistance to Widows Committee (ATWC) of CWEF reviews all the applications and recommends the Board Directors to approve the funding for eligible applicants.
