How does the ID program relate to the other programs in EVDS?
The Faculty of Environmental Design has been constructed around the idea that the problems of the natural and the man made environment are inseparable and only solvable when considered in an interdisciplinary fashion. In that context the Industrial Design Program, being directed to the design of useful and beautiful artifacts for human use, offers the faculty invaluable perspectives on the interface between human makers and users of those artifacts. In return the other programs in the faculty provide the Industrial Design Program with valuable insights into the interconnectedness of the natural and man made world.
