How does the iClear Selective Photo clearing treat acne?
A Special kind of bacteria called p.acnes is responsible for the inflammation of your acne lesions. The iClear uses high-intensity blue-violet light that activates phototoxic substances called porphyrins, present in these bacteria. The activated porphyrins start a chemical reaction that produces peroxide which destroys selectively the p.acnes bacteria without any damage to normal skin.
