How does the Henkel brand compare to other poster putty products?
It is a non-toxic, non smelly blue poster putty that is comparable to almost all of the other poster putty products I have purchased and used. Henkel cautions that this will only hold up to a pound but the more you use, the more you can hold with it. That doesn’t mean that you can use it to hang fifty pound mirrors or heavy photo frames so please use common sense when working with this. To get the best bond with this mounting putty / poster putty you have to make sure that the surface you are working with is clean – that means free of dust and dirt as well as loose paint. If you know that the wall has loose paint or wallpaper using this to hang something on it is going to result in a mess. Again, common sense goes a long way when using something like this. Do you need to knead it? No. All you have to do to use this is rip off a small piece and press it to whatever you want to secure.
