How does the Global Health Leadership Track differ from any other track within the DrPH program?
The DrPH program has always had students who were working in global health but with the recent opening of the Center for Global Health and additional funding resources for those working in the field of global health the DrPH has expanded the program to include a track specific to global health. This means that faculty within the School who are doing research, and may have funding for students interested in global health, have been identified as potential advisers and mentors to DrPH students whose research interests are in the field of global health. In addition, GHLT students will be able to compete for Center for Global Health internship funding as well as the Bixby Center for Population, Health, and Sustainability DrPH dissertation award.
