How does the geared continuous hinge work?
The SELECT hinge is designed with a geared joint instead of a pin, so each rotating surface turns only half the distance as a pin hinge for the same degree of opening. Each of the gear leaves operate in rolling contact with each other. The continuous geared concept decreases vertical wear, lateral wear and stresses, essentially eliminating door sag.
