How does the Funds Management program operate?
Qualified students enroll in a two-course sequence in their senior year at Duquesne. Working in teams under the guidance of investment professionals and A.J. Palumbo School of Business faculty, students select common stock investments from small- and mid-cap segments of the US equity markets. Fund managers seek to achieve superior longterm performance by investing in common stocks of growing, financially sound companies at discounts to intrinsic value. Students conduct research in security analysis and portfolio management with the goal of outperforming the benchmark Russell 2000® stock index.
