How does the Freedom of Information Act affect business with Dorset Police?
From 01 January 2005, all information relating to the provision and performance of contracts with Dorset Police Authority falls under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and as such may be disclosed to third parties upon request in accordance with the terms of the Act. Contractors should ensure they are aware of the full implications of the Act, which is fully retrospective.
