How does the flyer deal work?
For unsigned acts the most common deal is the flyer deal. It works like this: Your band produce as many flyers as they require. These are to be given away by you to your fan base and they pay the flyer cover price on the door (this price varies). After we have counted all the flyers that have come through the door on the night you will receive 1.00 per flyer after 25 have been collected. i.e 24 flyers means nothing but 25 flyers = 25, 30 flyers = 30 etc. Bringing this minimum number to your show helps cover the cost of the sound engineer, cashier, security staff, promoter, PPL / PRS, insurance etc. Of course we look very kindly on acts that do well but somewhat unkindly on acts that cant rustle 25 people up between them. Any revenue will not be paid to the band on the night it can be collected from the venue for up to one month following the gig during office hours (11am till 7pm Monday to Friday).
