MetLife conducts due diligence reviews of all newly hired associates in order to verify various types of background information including disciplinary history, employment verification, credit history, etc. The due diligence process begins when the signed Fair Credit & Reporting Act (FCRA) form is received. The due diligence review process generally takes 48 business hours to complete. Additional time may be needed for more involved background checks. Once due diligence review is completed and the candidate is cleared, the associate must request a Form U4 URL from Due Diligence by sending an email to duediligence@metlife.com. This request should indicate that the associate needs a Form U4 URL and should include the associates full name and social security number.
