How does the family car compare to aircraft and shipping in pollution stakes?
When buying a new car it makes no difference wether it’s a Kia or a Ford or whatever ie. where in the world it’s made. This is because all new vehicles, be it cars , trucks, tractors, buses, motorbikes- whatever, must meet the current Euro Emission Regulations. The only differences in the emissions relate to the engine size ie bigger engines are allowed a higher emission, but they must still stay within the preset regs. Re. strawberries being flown in, the people raking in the money are only doing so due to consumer demand. It’s our fault for buying and expecting stuff to be available all year round, you will never be able to stop everybody buying stuff which has been flown in. Many people are too selfish and dont care.
