How does the Epiphany team maintain artistic balance when designing, developing and creating glass pieces?

For many years we created the ‘epiphany’ work as a 100% collaboration of design, creation, and evolution. In 2004 I decided that I wanted to create a body work that wasn’t collaborative; a ‘signature series’ of sculptures. I had a number of ideas that I wanted to experiment with creating. Unlike the epiphany work, Jason helped in the creative process and with engineering the designs, but the original concepts were mine. In 2008 Jason began creating his own ‘signature series’ body of work. I help him with the creation of the pieces, but he is responsible for the original concepts and the engineering of them. We feel like this is the natural evolution of us as artists; as we grow and change, so does our work and how we create it. The beauty of working in a team fashion is that we have a board viewpoint from which to look at our work.
