How does the EPA locational data policy affect AQS?
This policy required the addition of three additional meta data fields. These new fields are required to add a new site to the database beginning with version 2.1. These fields must also be populated whenever an existing site is updated with Maintain. These data fields provide additional meta data for LDP Vertical Measure (formerly elevation above mean sea level) and include: Vertical Method and Vertical Datum with reference tables and drop downs of valid values and Vertical Accuracy Value in meters. This modification also revises the transaction format for site transactions. The new transaction formats are available at: http://www.epa.gov/ttn/airs/airsaqs/manuals/aqstrans_format.pdf.
