On a scale with zero as no toxicity and 10 as highest, EWG ranks NovAurora products: • NovAurora Organic Jojoba Oil: 0 • NovAurora Hand & Body Lotion: 1 • NovAurora Repairing & Toning Lotion: 1 • NovAurora Soap-Free Cleanser: 2 • NovAurora Weekend Warrior Balm with MSM: 2 • NovAurora Rejuvenating Face Cream: 3 There are four ingredients in the Rejuvenating Face Cream that have affected the ranking: retinyl palmitate (5), tocopherol acetate (4), Phenoxyethanol (4), and citric acid (3). • Retinyl palmitate and tocopherol acetate, vitamins A and E, respectively, are antioxidants included to control free radical damage and promote anti-aging. In both cases, there is limited evidence of skin toxicity at NovAurora’s low doses. • Phenoxyethanol, our preservative, is considered safe at standard doses; it is currently the most widely used preservative in natural/organic personal care preparations and has been accepted by Whole Foods for their Premium Brand designation. • We use citric acid only
