How does the Employee Council compare with a union?
The Employee Council, as an independent employee voice, strives to achieve fair and equitable outcomes for ALL the Group’s employees (regardless of level of work). Unlike trade / industry unions, it is not encumbered by industry wide agendas but deals exclusively with Suncorp staff and issues.The Employee Council offers advisory, support services and representation to all employees. This enables matters to be dealt with promptly and most often results in a resolution or outcome at an early stage.
