How does the Email/Fax Notification work?
The SWIIFT EFN is designed to fax notification of new incoming email (for people who do not receive enough email to justify dialling up their mail server a couple of times a day). This allows users and businesses to be responsive to the occasional email message without having to spend any effort monitoring their email inbox. This service can be a lucrative value-added service for ISPs to offer their low-volume email customers.
