How does the electronic transmission option of the GDM software work (e-filing)?
To transmit electronically a return, you need a User name and Password. Then, you must open the GDM software and open the file you wish to send. When the file is opened (name appears in the title bar), select the “GDM Software” option in the menu bar, then select the “Send the Mining Duties Return to MRNF…” option. Afterwards, follow these instructions: • If prompted, answer YES to the question appearing on the “Security Alert” screen; • Enter your User name and Password in the Secured connexion screen; • Use the Browse button in the Transmission components screen to select the appropriate file from your station, in the directory initially saved; • Once the files captured into the appropriate field, click on the Send button; • Print your Transmission results when prompted to do so.
