How does the DrPH differ from the PhD degree and program?
• The DrPH is a professional degree and the program focus is on the development of knowledge and skills in the areas of professional leadership, administration and the application of existing, state-of-the-art knowledge and approaches to public health problems. • The DrPH at Berkeley is also a School wide degree, while the various PhD programs are all discipline-specific. • The DrPH at Berkeley is a leadership program.
