How does the digital clock screen saver work in the Nokia 8910i?
The screen saver uses so-called “partial display mode,” which uses less power than the normal display modes. In partial display mode, only a 32-pixel high area of the display is active, and the rest of the display is turned off. The active part scrolls over the display from top to bottom. When the partial display mode is activated, the active area is in the top part of the display. After one minute, it starts moving down at one-minute intervals. After it has reached the bottom of the display, it starts again at the top of the display. The default timeout of the screen saver is 2 minutes. You can define it between 5 seconds and 60 minutes. ^ Back to top.
